Halloween Birthday Party Update

Party Time

Party day arrived and we had so much fun!

                                                             Welcome to our Party

My favorite part of Halloween is pumpkin carving

The entrance way has treats, glow sticks, lollipops, and skull bracelets
Used a little pumpkin for the lollipops.
Used to plastic table covers to make the curtain and saw the spider on Pinterest.
Candy Buffet, every kids dream

Used cheese cloth to make the furniture look old.
Used white table cloth to cover up small cabinet. Saw this on Pinterest.
What would a party be without a cake?
Wanted to make something a little on the spooky side.

A few party games for these young teens

Had to go with the traditional apple bob

Everyone got there picture take in front of this back drop

Found the balloons and napkins at Target

Halloween Party

Starting to get the decorating going for a Halloween Party.

We have never decorated for Halloween before. So I  got a few idea's from Pinterest.
Spent most of my decorating budget at the dollar store, then ran with what you see here.

Plan to get some pumpkins to add to the porch

Needed something a little spooky, found this at Walgreens
                                                        already on clearance for $3.49

Will add more treats the day of the party

                                                               BAT INVASION!!!

Cake Library

        Some of my Cake Library

Not a pro by any means, just a mom making cakes for her family.
Took some classes one summer about 13 years ago for fun and it has been a great hobby. Plus making cakes myself saves tons of money then buying them from the bakery.
This was for my daughters sweet 16
My brothers wedding
These were apart of the cake table for my older daughter's wedding

                                                 Hot chocolate cupcakes for work

Movie themed birthday for my younger daughter

Made this paste cake for a baby shower, the dots were pressed down but I didn't get another pic.

Last minute cake for a friend, topper and flowers added later

 Winter cake
Yellow dots for a friends wedding

Way to go Badgers!!  With 3-D softball
Skull cake, painted white chocolate  over cake with a paint brush

Love making cakes for my friend and family only wish I had more time to do it.

~Teen Girl Room Make-Over~

With Christmas just a few months away, what can a big sister do for her little sister with out spending a ton of money???

How about clean and redecorate her room?
Let's take some before and after pictures.
Before the cleaning, Before repainting, Before trashing some of the junk! (he he)

Definitely need a BEWARE warning

Everyone knows she would kill me if she knew I posted picture of her room.
Things only a mom can get away with.
(Not like my teenage daughter is going to read my blog)
Here are a few new things we had just picked up at Hobby Lobby
before deciding to let her sister completely redecorate. Hope she keeps them!
This great picture 24x36
A cross in matching colors
A great lamp and clock
I really like the pink, black & green combination.
Just not sure how it will all play out.

(After Pictures to come)
